NEW: Bafana’s Latest FIFA Ranking

World football governing body FIFA released the latest rankings for men’s international football on Thursday.

Bafana Bafana were in action during the month of June where they defeated Mozambique 2-0 and drew 0-0 with Tanzania in the last international break of the season.

However, Hugo Broos’ men have remain unchanged in 56th place in the overall world ranking.

Bafana are also on an impressive 20-game unbeaten run under Broos, although the team, coached by Vela Khumalo, finished as runners-up at the COSAFA Cup.

On the African continent, South Africa still find themselves in 10th position.

Morocco are the highest-ranked African nation as they sit 12th, while Senegal have moved Egypt as the second highest-ranked country from Africa.

Bafana will be back in action under Broos in September when they resume their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with matches against Nigeria and Zimbabwe.
