Yusuf Maart and Antonio van Wyk helped SV Ried secure their first win after defeating BW Linz 2-0 in the Bundesliga on Saturday afternoon.

Maart was included in the starting line-up and played the full 90 minutes in midfield.

Van Wyk was introduced at the start of the second half and bagged the assist for Philipp Homer’s opening goal.

Germany

Ime Okon found the back of the net in Hannover 96’s 3-1 win over 1. FC Magdeburg in the German second tier on Saturday.

The Bafana Bafana defender started and played the full 90 minutes, which included getting his first goal for the season with a lovely header from a corner.

England

Lyle Foster’s Burnley got their first win in the Premier League after defeating Sunderland 2-0 on Saturday.

The Bafana Bafana striker made his second start of the season, leading the attack for the Clarets.

Foster had a goal disallowed in the first half for a foul, as he lasted 86 minutes on the day.

In the Championship, Luke Le Roux made his debut in Portsmouth’s 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion.

Le Roux was introduced in the 57th minute for his first taste of Championship football.

United States

Bradley Carnell’s Philadelphia Union moved to the top of the Eastern Conference standings with a 4-0 thrashing of Chicago Fire on Saturday.

South African defender Olwethu Makhanya played the full 90 minutes and picked up a yellow card in the big win.
